Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong Road with an altitude of 3979 m. Moreover, the mesmerizing beauty of snow peaked mountains enveloped in the clouds is enchanting. Dassaur Lake and Beas Kund is just nearby to Rohtang Pass. In addition, the source to the River Beas, Beas Kund is also nearby. Beas Kund is an Igloo shaped temple that has a spring on top.

Solang Valley

13 km North- West of Manali is the Solang Valley also known as Snow Pass. In addition, the 300 meter ski-lift is its major attraction. Moreover, it is a striking spot that offers dazzling contours of snow-capped mountains & glaciers. Paragliding, snorkeling etc are added attractions of this place.

Hidimba Temple

The temple is just 1.5km away from Manali town center. It was built in the year 1553. The goddess worshiped here is Hidimba devi who is a character from the epic Mahabharata. Moreover, you will get immense pleasure by the view of the surroundings from the Hidimba temple.

Vashist Hot Water Spring and Temple

It is situated 3 km from Manali town center. Vashist is a small village on the banks of river Beas with natural hot springs. It has a pair of old stone temples. The place is dedicated to sage Vashist.

Jogini Falls

Jogini Falls is just 2 km away from Vashisth Temple. To reach here, you have to trek through a beautiful mountain trail.

Manali Monastery

Manali is famous for its Buddhist monastery situated in one side of the town and a short walk away from the Mall. The wonderful architecture of the monastery is worth a visit.

Manu Temple

The temple is located in the Old Manali area along the road of main market, which passes down to the community center. The temple is devoted to Sage Manu, who was considered as the writer of Manusmriti, one of the ancient legal text. The site is largely visited by local and foreigners. The unique architecture of the temple poses an awe inspiring view even to the people of different religion, who can admire the beauty of the construction. The temple is surrounded by hills on one side and Beas River on the other side. A huge waterfall lies in front of the temple, which is inaccessible from the temple route due to hilly region. The interior is made from wooden walls and marble flooring. It is one of the most visited places of the region.

Jagatsukh Temple

Jagatsukh is the former Capital of Manali. It is still home to a few picturesque temples built in Shikara style. One can visit this place while moving to Naggar.

Manali Van Vihar

Van Vihar National Park is located on the Mall road of Manali. It is one of the most visited attractions of the locality. The park is full of lush green trees mostly deodar, which imitates a magnificent view of the location. This is a very suitable place to hold a picnic with friends and families and enjoy the weekend getaway from the busy life. It also has a walkway, which provides a great walking experience throughout the park. There is a small lake at the center of the park, which is famous for its boat rides. One can completely relax and enjoy the day in sightseeing the natural beauty and indulge in the comforting boat ride.

Naggar Castle

Naggar castle is located in the historic town of Naggar. The site is surrounded by majestic forests and hills, resonating a huge aura of nature in the proximity. The castle was originally the home of Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu. Naggar castle was built in the year 1460. It is made of wood and stone and has a mix of European and Himalayan style of architecture. The castle interior displays a picturesque wooden and stone furnishing along with a huge fireplace. It also hold three small shrines, which displays a significant religious importance. Tourists can  buy items like artifacts and wall hangings as souvenirs. Recently in 1978, the castle was converted into a luxury resort maintained by Himachal Tourism Development Corporation.

Manikaran

Manikaran is situated in the Parvati Valley on the river Parvati. It is one of the famous pilgrimage and religious site of the Hindus and the Sikhs. Manikaran is also famous for the hot springs. There is a myth about the location that Sage Manu created life in form of Manikaran after a huge flood and marking this area as a sacred place. In addition to the temples, there is also a Gurudwara for the Sikhs. There are many beliefs surrounding the location in both Hindu and Sikh mythology. This small town is an attraction to many visitors who come to Himachal Pradesh and never miss an opportunity to visit the site.

Kalath Hot Water Spring

It is situated 6.5 Km from Manali and is famous for its natural Sulphur hot water spring.

Old Manali

Old Manali is famous for its fruit orchards. It is situated 3 kms away from Manali. Manaligarha ruined fort and Manu Maharishi Temple is situated here. The quiet and peaceful surroundings make the pace more beautiful.

Rahala Falls

AT an altitude of 2501 meters, just as one starts to climb the Rohtang Falls, is situated the Rahala Falls. It is located about 16 kms from Manali.

Maa Sharvari Temple

Atop Shaminallah village, 5 Kms from Manali, is situated the Maa Sharvari Temple. Devi Durga is represented here as the Kuldevi of the kings of Kullu. To visit the Lord Raghunathji, the Goddess is transported to Kullu, during Dussehra.
